Why Choose Bamboo?

Amazing Absorbency

Sweating is part of life so it’s important that your baby's clothes are able to handle sweat the right way. Bamboo fabric is 40% more absorbent than even the finest organic cotton and it wicks away dampness – up to four times faster too. This super fast absorption and wicking keeps moisture away so that the fabric does not stick to your baby's skin, and dries quickly so that your baby feels cooler and more comfortable.

One of the most wonderful things about bamboo fabric is its natural antibacterial properties. The natural bio-agent found in bamboo helps reduce bacteria that build up on clothing and other materials as well as on human skin. This means that no chemical treatment is needed to add anti-bacterial properties, so you get clothes that are friendlier on your baby’s skin and the environment.

Brilliant Breathability

Bamboo fabric is naturally breathable because of its smooth stranded structure. Its unique structure allows air to flow freely through it so that your baby’s temperature stays regulated in both cold and warm environments. Yes, that’s right, our bamboo baby clothing helps to keep your baby warmer when it’s cold and cooler when it’s warm. Cotton, hemp and other similar fabrics can’t compete with the breathability of bamboo.

Super Soft & Hypoallergenic

Bamboo fabric is considered one of the softest fabrics in the world. The smooth fibres that make up its structure make it ideal for making our super soft BambooBaby clothing. In fact, it's often compared to silk.

The wonderful softness of Bamboo fabric means that it's considered hypo-allergenic making it ideal for babies with sensitive skin. As an added bonus, bamboo gets softer as its washed and will also endure longer than cotton, keeping shape, strength, and durability three times over!

The bamboo plant is the fastest growing plant on the planet, growing up to 3ft per day, which means its super sustainable. One acre of bamboo will yield 10 times more than 1 acre of cotton which is one of the most common fabrics found in baby clothing today.

As with other crops that are turned into fabrics, bamboo does not require fertiliser or other harmful pesticides and chemicals to be harvested. Cultivation of the bamboo plant is completely natural and it self-regenerates from its own roots so it doesn't need to be replanted.  It also absorbs five times more carbon and produces 35 times more oxygen than similar-sized trees. Now that’s outstanding!
